Hi, I’m John
During my whole life I’ve feel passionate about music. In Cali, Colombia were I spent most of my childhood I was influenced by my family and teachers who guided me and introduced me in this cultural environment and from there it was born the passion of making a living through music.
During my professional path I’ve had the experience of working in different music genres, from hip hop, R&B, metal, salsa, jazz among others that let me contribute to the many projects I’ve worked in 20 years.
It’s been years of learning, dedication and constant preparation. The last 11 years I’ve belong to the family crew of the urban singer J Balvin, with whom I’ve had the opportunity to do amazing events:

I’ve also have had the opportunity to work with incredible International brands like KRK, WAVES, McDSP, Radial, Shure, Universal Audio, Retro Knob.
I’ve also work with numerous artists such as Andrés Cepeda, Jon Secada, Sebastian Yatra, Amaury Gutiérrez, Alkilados, Los de Adentro, Sin Ánimo de Lucro, Julio Nava, Guayacán Orquesta, Siam y Naty Botero, to name a few.
Also I’ve worked as technical producer for multiple artists in Jazz festivals, salsa and “Rock al Parque” in Colombia.
A live sound operator needs a musical background, it can be academic formation or by listening and studying good music. All this must be complemented by their aptitude and attitude that contribute in the work environment with the artist and the rest of the crew.
